Sunny Leone, the Indo-Canadian porn star has struck gold in Bollywood. She has not just carved her niche as a budding actress of B-town but has also proved that she is a good dancer. Sunny Leone has left her past as a porn star behind and she is here to work hard and prove her worth as an actress. In an exclusive chit chat with Wonderwoman.in, Sunny talks about her relationships, passion for work and why she chose porn films as a career option.
From an adult star to a Bollywood heroine, how easy or difficult the ride has been?It's a 360 degree difference. I always wanted to do this, to work in front of camera like this. I always wanted to be a mainstream heroine. It is virtually impossible for any adult star to work as a heroine in a mainstream film but I have been lucky that I was accepted and loved.
How easy or difficult was it for you to get accepted in Bollywood?
I think the biggest reason for my acceptance was Bigg Boss. Audience watched the real me in the show. The real Sunny Leone coming to your drawing room every night at 10pm, cooking, doing household chores like any other normal girl was the biggest reason for my acceptance. Had I come directly to Mumbai for working in Bollywood, I would never have been accepted.

Have you watched this season's Bigg Boss?No I haven't, I didnt get the time but I have heard it's very crazy this season.

Are you still working in porn films?
It is a big misconception that I still work in porn films. I had stopped working in adult films when I joined Bigg Boss. Obviously I can't erase what's in the past or internet. In 2008 when I formed company with my husband it was a way for me to exit the adult industry as an heroine and be part of production.

What was in your mind when you first faced the camera as an adult movie star?See, ultimately, it's a business. It is a multi-million dollar industry that happens in every corner of the world and is recession free. So I was strictly professional and had only one thing in my mind that I should be able to generate as much business as I promised the producer when I was signed. First time when I acted in a porn film, I acted with my boyfriend. I have worked with very few people in such films, one of them my current husband, who was my boyfriend then.
What was your family's reaction when you joined porn industry?Obviously like any other normal family they were upset. When I told my father he was upset that I didn't consult him before taking this decision. But he gave me a piece of advice that I always keep in mind - that whatever I do I should be successful in it.

Your biggest turn on and turn offs?Intelligence is my turn on and turn off is men who use a lot of cologne.

What do you think is the most attractive part of your body?My face

If you were to make an adult film whom would you pick from Bollywood to play the lead roles?This question can get me into trouble so no comments. (laughs)
Name your favourite Bollywood film.Aashiqui 2, I cried a lot watching it.

How is Sunny Leone as wife and sister?I am like any normal wife at home. My husband and I share a very healthy relationship, we cook together, watch films. As a sister I am very protective as I am the elder one, our parents are no longer with us so I try to give everything to my brother and wish that he achieves success in life.

The dish that turns Sunny on...Truffle Mac N Cheese. I cook it from scratch, with lots of cheese and eat almost half of it alone.

Tell us something about your upcoming film Jackpot?This is my second film, I have worked very hard. What I want and hope is that the audience see that I have really improved as an actor.

In a career of almost 25 years, Aamir Khan has seen successes and flops. But it is his failures that he credits for his life`s "biggest learnings", saying that it doesn`t matter to him if his films make Rs.100 crore or more but he gets "upset" if people lose money from a film which rides on his name.

"There are a lot of films I did that didn`t make me happy, but it is also true that you don`t always get success despite all efforts. When I look back and see these films, I feel that I`ve learnt a lot from my unsuccessful films. Those are my biggest learnings," Aamir said here.

"My failures have taught me as much as my successful films, and they are equally special to me," the 48-year-old said.

The ace actor-filmmaker opened up about his efforts to juggle between films and a TV show, his "guilt" over not being able to spent time with his family, the Khan rivalry in Bollywood and more.

Aamir, who dabbles in films of different kinds, says he undergoes just one pressure when he signs a project - and it has nothing to do with numbers.

"I feel that whoever buys a ticket to my film, doesn`t go back feeling that it was a waste. The audience should feel entertained. That`s all. I don`t get into numbers. It has to touch hearts what money it makes, that doesn`t matter to me," Aamir said and explained how he remembers his favourite movies ‘Pyaasa’ and ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ for their craft and not for how much money they made.

But does it upset him when his films don`t do commercially well?

"I don`t like it if anyone suffers loss," he said.

"I feel upset as I feel people should get their money back from a film, and make at least 10 to 15 percent profit at least. Whether they make Rs. 200 crore or Rs. 400 crore, I am not interested in it. But I like my films to be commercially viable," he said.

On the Bollywood front, Aamir currently awaits the release of ‘Dhoom: 3’, which stars him as a villain. The much-awaited film, the third in the popular franchise of Yash Raj Films, releases Dec 20.

Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman got a standing ovation as she received the inaugural Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year at the opening ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here.

The 77-year-old actress received a standing ovation as she was felicitated on-stage by Bollywood star Rani Mukerji in recognition of her unparalleled contribution to Indian cinema.

The Government of India has instituted the award to commemorate 100 years of Indian Cinema and Rehman said she is thrilled to be the first recipient of this prestigious honour.

"I am really humbled to receive such a great honour. I would like to thank the jury who suggested my name. I would like to thank all the people who I have worked with so far. My directors, producers, make-up artistes, technicians. Thank you for a wonderful journey," an emotional Rehman said after receiving the honour.

Rehman, who is known for her memorable performance in classics like 'Pyaasa', 'Kaagaz Ke Phool', 'Guide' and 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam', was awarded with a citation, a certificate, a medal (silver peacock), a shawl and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

Several Bollywood stars, who attended the glitzy ceremony, congratulated the Rehman for her her long innings in cinema.

Singer Asha Bhonsle, who has sung for Rehman in several movies, said the actress deserved this laurel.

"I am very happy for Waheedaji. She is getting this prestigious award and she completely deserves it," Bhonsle said, adding 'Bhawra bada nadan hain' is her favourite song by her picturised on Rehman in 'Sahib, Bibi Aur Ghulam'.

Trouble seems to be a never ending chapter in Salman Khan’s life. As Salman Khan is charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder in 2002 hit-and-run case, on Tuesday the session court has heard three applications.
Regarding the first application where Salman Khan’s made an appeal to the court about unfair media coverage of the case, court orally asked the media for fair reporting of the case.
The court has also heard application for the second plea of activist Santosh Daundkar's plea in which he has asked the court  to transfer false evidence case from Bandra to the sessions court. The court rejected his plea saying that it did not have suo moto powers to transfer the case.
Regarding the third plea, the court allowed the intervene of activist Abha Singh's plea to assist the Public Prosecutor only at the final stage.
Advocate Abha Singh is represented in court by her son, Aditya Pratap. Abha Singh conveyed that as a general public, who is not concerned with any criminal case, she still has right to intervene in the court case against Salman Khan.  She can prepare notes and can submit written notes to the public prosecutor thus helping him indirectly in his case.
While hearing the arguments, Judge SD Deshpande said that in a criminal case, the role of intervener is limited to submissions of written notes and nothing beyond that.
On the other hand, Salman’s lawyer, Shrikant Shivde feels that advocate Abha Singh has no business in Salman’s case. She just wants to defame the actor. She has already made up her mind that Salman is guilty and so she is trying her level best to defame him.
Shivde told the court, “They are not interested in justice. They have been giving number of interviews to media. If this application is allowed, then 100 people will come in. Today we should have been examining witness, but we are wasting time on this application.” Shivde further said about media coverage that, “We do not want an in camera trial but since beginning, an attempt is being made to pollute the mind of the public.”
September 28, 2002. Salman Khan’s Toyota Land cruiser drove over five people who were sleeping on the footpath near Hill road in Bandra. In this accident, one lost his life and four others were severely injured.
After the accident, Salman Khan drove away in his car and appeared for surrender after eight hours. Eye witnesses said that it was Salman who was driving the vehicle though Salman denies the allegation. Since, he surrendered after eight hours, he and his family maintain the incident as accident though police reported it as hit and run case. Medical report further revealed that Salman was under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place.

Bollywood has been harnessing the power of social networking platforms. Now special emoticons inspired by Hrithik Roshan-starrer sci-fi movie "Krrish 3" have been launched on Facebook.

"'Krrish 3', first Indian movie to launch Facebook emoticons/stickers," read a post on Hrithik's page on the popular social networking site.

Directed by Rakesh Roshan, "Krrish 3" is the third film in the franchise that began with "Koi Mil Gaya" in 2003.

Dilip Kumar, who is recovering from heart attack in Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, had a celebrity visitor in the form of friend, admirer and co-star Amitabh Bachchan on Monday (September 23, 2013).

"Out of the ICU, it's good to be in the hospital suite and have @SrBachchan as a visitor," Dilip saab posted on Twitter along with a picture of himself with the actor, wife Saira Banu and brother-in-law Sultan Ahmed.

"Mr. Bachchan came to meet Dilip Kumar today around 7 pm. They chatted for around half an hour. As far as Dilip Kumar's health is concerned he is absolutely fine and he now desperately wants to go back home," Udaya Tara Nayar, Dilip Kumar's close friend, told news agency IANS.

Soon after the visit, Mr Bachchan wrote on his blog about the visit. "I had never met him so ... in bed, in hospital, ailing and troubled and harassed by all the medical fuss around him .. Dilip Kumar !! the great thespian, the wonder of Indian cinema, the ultimate performer in my eyes, lying there in Lilavati Hospital, recovering from a recent mild heart attack!" Big B wrote.

"He seemed cheerful .. at least when he saw me ... Saira ji warned me that he had been quite irritable and non cooperative throughout the day, and so to excuse any kind of untoward behaviour that he may dole out to me ... but he was gracious and kind .. repeatedly he kept saying 'wah<' 'wah' and then slipping into repetitions of Allah," Mr Bachchan added.

On September 20, Mr Bachchan had posted on Facebook that he would visit the actor in the hospital. "Dilip Kumar Saheb remains stable and well. Am in touch with Saira ji. Shall be visiting him in Hospital, as soon as he is allowed visitors .. our prayers and duas for his speedy recovery," Big B wrote.

Amitabh Bachchan considers Dilip saab as his inspiration in Bollywood. The two actors had worked together in the 1982 film Shakti. They were last seen shooting together for the Filmfare magazine's April edition celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema.

"He has been an inspiration not just for me but I am certain to thousands of those that have ever dreamt of facing a camera for the art form called cinema. His presence his aura and his dedication to film shall be documented as 'before Dilip Kumar and after Dilip Kumar'," Mr Bachchan had once written in his blog.

Dilip Kumar, 90, who has been in ICU since he was hospitalised on September 15, was shifted to the general ward on Sunday (September 22, 2013).

The actor may be discharged from hospital in a couple of days, sources indicated.
